John's DAW Notes
Music production has been a hobby for years. I can't say I'm any good at it, but it is a hobby. I currently use Reaper, Ableton, Bitwig, and FL Studio in various capacities. Then I have a sizeable plugin collection, including many softsynths. I originally placed DAW and music production-related notes on my pt2 wiki, but decided it made more sense to move it all to its own music-production related wiki. The migration will happen gradually, but generally if I add new content, it will go here, and if I update content on the pt2 wiki, I'll move it over here.
In addition, I wish to add some content relating to my general philosophy of learning music software and using it effectively, including what I've learned from the many dead-ends I've explored over the years.
I should say that what you see here is more like an open-to-the-public notebook where I note things for myself, write my thoughts, and so on, and everybody can see. It is not a traditional publication as one might find in book form. Nor is it either static or finished: it is always a work in progress, usually with things being added or tweaked. Once something appears on a publicly viewable wiki like this, it generally means I'm happy for anybody or everybody to see it.
