Jon Audio Zebra Operation Notes
These are my notes from the Jon Audio Youtube channel. These are the notes on operation of Zebra, such as what modules do what. For sound design, see here.
Osc Fx
======
We have two effect slots.
You have to play with them
to hear how they sound.
1. Fundamental: amps or attens the fund
2. Odd For Even: to right = odd harmonics, to left = even
3. Brilliance: affects upper harms
4. Filter: sharp slope filter as it acts on spectrum
before rendering to wave
5. Bandworks: right = bandpass, left = notch
6. Registeriser: emph octaves, atten all else
7. Scrambler: see docs
8. Turbulence: see docs
9. Expander: amp strong harms, atten weak
10. Symmetry: like pwm for general waves
11. Phase Xfer: use wave to mod sine
12. Phase Root: FM thing again
13. Trajector: FM thing again
14. Ripples: see docs
15. Formantzilla: formants, see docs
16. Sync Mojo: sync
17. Fractals: like sync but fills space in self-sim way
18. Exophase: 7 stage phasor applied to orig wave
19. Scale: rel amps of harms scaled
20. Scatter: see docs, noisy
21. ChopLift: negative attens weak harms, pos raises amps harms
22. Hypercomb: a bit like unison, adds 3 copies to wavetable
23. Phase Dist: see docs
24. Wrap: folds down signal above thresh
25. DX: Like Trajector but stronger
26. Smear: Blur spectru
Resonator
=========
FX grid: Res 1.
Res is a filter bank like.
Four bands, each freq, emph, gain.
Color selects analog filter models.
Mode lp, bp, bpi inverts second filt, hp
Bands can be modulated.
Ring Modulation
===============
Osc 1 to second lane and mute.
FMO 1 in lane 1. FM by input.
Ring in lane 1. Input from lanes 1 and 2.
Osc 1 sine tree.
